Screenflex Room Dividers ~ The question of the day is: How is the room divider height determined?
“How is the room divider height determined” is a good question. You may ask yourself, what is the best way for you to decide the height you need to divide a room. All room divider heights are measured from the floor to the top of the divider. Room dividers can provide the perfect visual barrier. The best height is based partly on common sense and, in some states, mandated by law. The room dividers have position controllers on top. They help keep the unit open and straight. The position controllers add on top of the divider. So if you have a 6′ room divider, allow for 6′ 3/4″ clearance. If you have a gym or room with 12-foot tall ceilings, our tallest divider is 8 feet tall. Sound does travel up so once again, it is more of a visual barrier than sound barrier. Most people cannot look over the 6’8″ height and that is one of our most popular sizes that we sell.
